"Anderson at War" is a proposed exhibit at the Anderson County Museum in Anderson, SC, which seeks to preserve, rather than celebrate, the history of the Civil War in Anderson. The exhibit utilizes the typeface "Harkoriam," which was inspired by the Confederate statue located in front of the courthouse. Through this project, I have gained a deeper appreciation for history, social justice, and the role of a designer and communicator in promoting informed discourse. It is important to note that I do not endorse the actions or beliefs of the Confederacy. The primary objective of this exhibit is to inform, empower, and unite the Anderson community. Ultimately, my aim was to foster open and constructive dialogue about this critical topic.
